Re: Do you tell?

After I miscarried with my first we usually don't tell anyone until 12+ weeks. I like to be able to go in and hear a heartbeat first. But I have been different with each of my babies. Some times its just so exciting you gotta tell someone! And some times you have too many crazy pregnancy symptoms so you have to explain yourself lol. I had to explain to my best friend why I was a crazy emotional angry lady the past week lol!

I feel the same way. I'm feeling very protective of all the details concerning this pregnancy. I'm glad I let a few people know because I feel a bit less worried but I'm glad we're keeping it a secret for now.

Re: Do you tell?

DH can't keep a secret, so EVERYONE in his family knows, but no one in my family does. I am going to let my belly do the announcing (hopefully not until 6 months or so). It's awful to feel like a teenager keeping a secret, but I really don't look forward to their comments. My absolute fav when I was pregnant with DS: Why didn't you get an abortion? Yes someone in my family seriously said that to me!

The only person I've told IRL is the woman I babysit for

Right now just SO and I know. We might tell his mom soon but I kind of want to keep it a secret for a few weeks. My family is going to be less than enthused.

Re: Do you tell?

We are going to Florida next week. I think I'm going to take santa hats and take a picture of the kids by the beach with a sign that says "#4 Due December 18,2013 and then makes cards and have the inside say "getting Christmas cards done early since we'll be a little busy in December! Love, Shane, Shannon, Grace, Graham and Baby H.

It's a little hard for me because it doesn't feel right to include Ella's name in that card, but it feels weird not to since she was baby #3. I guess by saying #4 it's including her in a way.

Anyway, excited to do this! And the kids can't read yet so we'll just make them hold it up without telling them yet. Ha!

Re: Do you tell?

Is anyone not telling due dates? We plan to just say that the baby is due in the winter but I'm sure family will want to make plans for Christmas and I'm just not sure how to handle all that. We live 12 hours away from family so plans get made pretty far in advance. I'm due Dec 23rd.

Re: Do you tell?

Last time we told our parents and siblings and really close friends at about 9 or 10 weeks. After all the special people knew we announced on FB.

This time I have already told a close friend because she told me she was pregnant. And last night I told 2 co-workers because we were at a bachelorette party and I had to explain why I wasn't having drinks with them.
We will probably wait until 8-10 weeks and then tell family before spreading the word. Trying to come up with some fun way to tell.
