I think they're kinda neat. The thinner plastic threw me off because I was expecting the thick stuff again. This cycle is just about over so trying the reusable kind will have to wait. They're mail order only anyway, I think.

I always punctures holes in those ones when I was cleaning them. They are great for single use but it seems like suck a waste so I would wash and reuse.

I've got maybe 8 disposables leftover and will also order the reusable kind. I'm going to experiment with them next cycle, see if the disposable ones survive washing.

How are you puncturing them?

Re: Softcup vs Diva Cup

I've been using the Instead disposable ones for a few cycles. I reuse one for the whole cycle then toss. So far so good ...

I have no clue because my nails aren't super sharp! Let me know how your experiment works.

Re: Softcup vs Diva Cup

I tried instead cups once when my SIL threw my diva cup away. I didn't like it. it fit funny and leaked. I coughed and it popped out. I was on my way to the bathroom and only a few feet away and it was still a horrid mess.
I'm gonna look at the site a pp linked. I need something that will hold more than a diva cup. my flow just gets heavier and heavier every year.
