It's amazing how well sunning works! Once again, the old fashioned, green, free way works the best

Sunning pooped-on items doesn't require direct sunlight outside. Items can be sunned inside, too (near a window).

There is no hard and fast rule about how long to sun items. It may take multiple rounds of sunning depending on the time of day, how long it's left out, the cloud cover, inside or outside sunning, and food content in the poop, and the concentration of the stain, etc.
This is so interesting! TFS!

Thanks for the info. I am new to cloth diapering and I wasn't sure if having stains was normal or if I needed to change my wash routine. Not running into any stink just some staining.

Thanks, this is just what I was looking for. I want to sun my bg's, but it's ridiculously windy here and I don't want the flying all over the golf course behind us, lol!

Re: Sunning stains out, should be a sticky.

I'm so in awe of this process I thought I'd share a before and after sun shot. I went out to the deck to get them because of rain and found they were already stain free! They'd only been out for about two hours in direct sun. I had tried washing, spot treating, and everything to get these stains out. They were in my newborn stash and had been sitting with these stains for several months.

Does the sun also remove stains from colored clothing or only whites?

Thanks.
