Potty trained except nighttime

So here's my problem...with only using one diaper a day I am doing laundry once a week and still with just 7 diapers my washing machine gets stuck in the spin cycle since it gets off balance and it takes me forever to do that one load because I forget about it. So what do you all do when you're at this point? Do you change to sposies? I hate to do that but am so sick of taking hours to do that one load of diaper laundry. Plus the bag stinks halfway through the week!

I would wash that one night diaper with our towels. It was only 1-2 diapers at the most, since I wash whites every other day. I switched to large flats at night with dd, so washing wasn't tough.

I only use cloth during the week (dh hates them and won't change them so I use disposables on the weekend when he's home) and some times I end up on Fridays with only a small load and I don't want it to sit all weekend so I have a couple old bath towels I toss in with them to make the load bigger and have never had a problem.

I rinse in the sink or tub then wash with other laundry.

Re: Potty trained except nighttime

i just washed with other laundry, I start a load nearly every morning, so it was no big deal to throw it in with that, as it was never poop

Re: Potty trained except nighttime

I rinse out the night diapers really well in the morning before putting them in the pail to keep it from smelling. We're down to only 1 or 2 diapers a day as DD is only using diapers at nights and out of the house. I still have enough to wash a load, I just don't wash as often. Once we're down to just nights I plan on throwing them in with the towels. ETA: I also wash her clothes and panties that she has accidents in with her diapers so that helps make the load bigger too.

Re: Potty trained except nighttime

Were in the middle of PT here she uses regular undies during the day and ends up wetting or slightly soiling about 3-4 pairs a day even goign a several days little 2T undies don't tale up much space. Like others I wash them with towels that way I can still wash hot and the towels I think help to scrub them clean. We are currently using PULups at night though.

I wash every 3 days. It's three trainer covers and the nine inserts from them, plus various wipes and the wet bags (sometimes). I also add in a ratty towel designated for this job. I have a FL too so I don't have the unbalance issue, though. I find if I go any longer I need to use oxygen bleach to get the smell out of the fleece on the trainer pockets.
