Hungry Caterpillar Hooded Towel

I recently spent waaaay too much on an animal hooded towel for my DD at an art fair because she fell in love with it even though I knew that I could probably make one myself pretty easily. Well, it's now my nephew's 1st birthday, so I made him one. I found the perfect green striped towel and just knew what it was destined to become!

I misjudged the height of the hood a bit so it doesn't fit my three-year-old son all that great, but it will fit my one-year-old nephew just fine, and next time around, hopefully, I'll do better with the hood size.

Wow! So creative Did you make the hood part from scratch?

Re: Hungry Caterpillar Hooded Towel

Thanks so much, ladies, and yes, Namiko, I did the applique on the hood myself freehand. It's a pretty simple design - just some satin stitching around a couple oval-ish shaped eyes and a triangular-ish nose. It was fun!
