Re: August '11 - June Chatter!!

Baby blanket that I made for wayne's cousin and his wife. their first, a little boy. (pardon the crappy cell pic. couldn't find the real camera)

Wayne's mom bought the fabric and I put it together. I LOVE the barrel of monkeys guy. (I want to keep it). The chunk of fabric to the left is a flannel crib sheet.

Can you believe I had this banana fabric on hand. lol, I just love it. I used a bit of it as binding on the corner near the monkey. super cute.

Re: August '11 - June Chatter!!

Still alive.. lol I can't believe we still have a board, it seems nuts to me that we're all still around.. we have nearly 2 year olds!

Levi is in EI now, He's got Speech therapy 2X a month and will be starting OT here soon. Like I could escape a kid with some kind of issue. I think not.

He's got sensory issues, and like no speech. mama/dada/up/set/no. He understands alot but says really nothing. We're trying to teach him some signs right now, not to mention some words. lol I'm hoping the therapy will be good. The sensory issues make it difficult to get him into the whole therapy thing because he HATES strangers... so he spends 95% of the time screaming because she's in here, and by the time he warms up to her, it's time to leave. I hope he gets used to her. I ordered him little headphones so he can wear during the 4th and in stores.. if he'll keep them on (I probably mentioned it before, but he's VERY sensitive to noise of any kind)

Other than all that fun, everyone is doing good. No one is pregnant around here or ever planning on it again. (Just a FYI. lol Congrats to everyone that is!) Enjoying the new home, it's nice to have a bigger place.

Getting back into the whole dave ramsey plan that we dropped a couple years ago getting out of what I was going to get from it, or so I thought. We need to get back into it. For sure. lol

the kids are out of school now, and thankfully we're keeping miranda at her school even though we're zoned for a crappy school. jake will be there too, so while I'm going to hate driving her to school everyday, and bringing her home everyday, it beats her going to a new school with all new kids, new teachers, etc.. can't do it.

getting levi to sit on the potty for m&m's. like I said, he can't talk, but he understands well. lol He understands potty. I'm not sure he gets what I want him to do though. lol Honestly, I'm using him to make jake jealous with the hope he'll potty train.. not so much levi. lol anyone got any ideas on how to get a 4.5 year old to poop on the toilet that just straight out refuses.. no real reason, he just doesn't want to.. you let me know.

I won't have anymore kids just for that sake alone.. potty training isn't my strong suit. lol

Naomi I love the fabric choices! I really need to find time to sew. It's been too long.
Jennifer I hate potty training. It sucks. I'm taking Izzy to a GI specialist in a couple weeks. Ugh.

Nice Naomi!!

No fun pt'ing!

This morning I am making Mac salad, coleslaw, meatballs (for tmrw and to freeze). Taking kids to the library at some point. Putting away a mountain of laundry and fixing a few spots on our fence. Thinking maybe a little pool time and grocery list. That's it! Lol

ETA- grr, E was up so early this am that I had to put him down for a nap, b/c he was a bear!! No pool for us I guess.

Brynn pooped on the potty.. whoohoo! That's pretty much the most exciting thing that happened today. It's rainy, hot, sticky and humid. This is the time of the year when I question why I live here. It's miserable.

Hoping to go to the beach tomorrow. I was just thinking today that I need to schedule Brynn's two year appointment. We are starting to look at beds... can't wait to set up her big girl room, although it's nice knowing that she is safe in her crib.

I def wouldn't go west, not interested in Cali. South (tx, LA) is out and Northeast is not going to happen either. I'm thinking more GA area, maybe Augusta? We don't want to be ON the beach, but close enough we could drive for a long wknd stay. Dh perked up when we were discussing this area, b/c it's pretty close to Myrtle Beach. Yeah he's a golf NUT, so I may still have a chance to convince him!

Yay for Pooping on the potty! I wish I had the energy to start with E but alas, we aren't even close.

And MMMM on the crepes!!!
