Wink Thinking of using wool for naps and bedtime

So I am getting frustrated with pockets and covers for sleep times. My DS wakes up in the middle of the night because he gets ao wet and uncomfortable in pockets. The past few days the only way I have gotten him to sleep through the night is with a disposable. I don't like disposables:-( After doing some research I'm ready to try wool (it has always intimidated me) but I have a few questions. If is going to be for bed time should I just use one prefold or two under...he is a heavy wetter. How many should I get if it only for bedtime and naptime (I want shorties). What is the best cleaning products for wool?

At bedtime, I'd definitely do two prefolds if that's what you're going to use under wool.

The bare minimum I'd go with would be two, one for nap and one for bed. You could use the same one for bed and nap when the other is washing.

What she said you may also want to add a hemp doubler to the prefolds if baby's a heavy wetter.

I would say soakers..just because they usually have the 2 layers in the wet zone. shorties usually do not have 2 layers..which makes it easier to soak through. however for nap time..I never have issues when DS wears his shorties

I have used both successfully. When I use shorties or longies overnight, I prefer ones with a hammock style extra layer in the wetzone. Royal Buns and Rainbow Waters will both add an extra layer for an additional charge. Other WAHMs probably offer this too, but these two are ones I have ordered from before.

I feel like a soaker would provide the most protection at night because it's more fitted than shorties. Also, if just using prefolds, I would trifold a PF inside a angel-winged PF for the best protection WCW interlock soakers are supposed to be bullet-proof at night if properly lano'ed
