Hi from Oregon :)

I am due in September and am planning on cloth diapering. I have a bit of a stash built up, but realized I made a rookie mistake and bought only one type of cloth/hybrid diaper (gDiapers). I am now buying two of each other diaper I am interested in in case the g's don't work out. Nice to meet you ladies!

Re: Hi from Oregon :)

Welcome! Will you start cloth diapering right away or wait a few weeks? For us, the newborn fitteds and prefolds with newborn covers were the easiest to get a good fit. Enjoy your time on here. This set is the best resource!

I definitely did that too. Should have diversified. Thankfully you only have to learn that lesson once and sometimes you can trade other mamas who did the same

Re: Hi from Oregon :)

Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm wanting to cloth diaper right from the start. I'm hoping it will be a little easier to do that as we're having a home birth and have our newborn items ready to go right away. I'm still buying more prefolds, flats, a few more fitteds and quite a few more covers to fill out my stash. Would you ladies recommend buying newborn covers to start or just the AIOs? I have 2 AIOs so far (1 Thirsties Duo Wrap size 1 and 1 OS Ecobum cover), but need to buy at least 6 more I think.

If I could do it all over again, I would have purchased more newborn covers. We only had 3 and the rest were Thirsties duo size one and they were huge on him. He was just under 7 lbs when born. Plus the rise snaps just made everything bulky and bumpy. AIO's were nice too and i wish i had gotten more of those. A lot of folks on here seem to like Nana's Bottoms newborn AIO's. I also would have used wool.

I wish I hadn't bothered with nb covers, she couldn't even use them. Pretty much went straight to size small
