yes. There is also a "recipe" that includes some easy to find herbs. Let me see if I can find it

ETA--Comfrey Leaf, German Chamomile and Lavender mixed with witch hazel. It's awesome for spraying onto your pads too (and freezing them)

Hospital gave me Dermoplast after my son was born. It's for "pain and itch" according to the amazing little blue can. I have no idea if there is something better out there, but I'll be getting it for this birth too. I used up the can from the hospital and bought another can just in case. Just spray it on and go. I did use the peri bottle first with just plain water, then sprayed the Dermoplast. The first few days I did an ice pack after the spray and I honestly never felt any pain or discomfort at all.

It was in the pharmacy section near the neosporin and things..miracle worker for me.

Omg, thanks for posting his! No one ever gave me Dermoplast?! Just the frozen pad & Peri bottle... Took me for EVER to pee since I tore & was scared to death!
Do you mamas think it aided in healing then? I wound up with a lot
Of granulation that is still painful sometimes 2 yrs later. :/ I was thinking on buying some of the Earth Mama Angel Baby stuff for after but it's pricy!

I'm sorry! I can't believe you didn't get it! It helps sooo much. I tore with all three births and it's so amazing! I delivered at 3 different hospitals and got it at all three. I saw they have brought back to WalMart, it wasn't available for a while I think.

Re: After birth spary?

I used a combo that really worked for me w/ dd, I would line a frozen pad with tucks, clean up and use the dermaplast spray, and then put the pad on...it worked wonders and felt so so good on my tear!
