Re: Jalapeņo popper recipes

I am not that impressed with my popper recipe but I love my copy cat bronco berry sauce for poppers and chicken if your interested. My popper recipe is baked and its ok, but not awesome.

Sauce recipe http://www.grouprecipes.com/90005/ar...o-poppers.html

I use fresh jalapeno not canned and I don't add the food coloring cause I don't really care if the sauce looks like Arby's Bronco Berry only that it tastes like it.

Re: Jalapeņo popper recipes

My husband makes jalapeno poppers. He guts the jalepenos, the mixes up cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese and stuffs it inside the peppers and bakes them till crusty on top. I think...he makes them, not me. I can't get past gutting the jalapenos without my eyes watering and nose running profusely. I can ask him tonight if that's really all there is to it.

I make jalepeno popper balls fairly often for our weekly pot luck.
Mix crumbled bacon, cream cheese and chopped jalepenos. Cut packaged crescent rolls in half and drop a spoonful into each. Pinch them closed and roll 'em into a ball. Bake for the recommended crescent roll time. I make a quadruple batch (64 balls) and they disappear fast.
One block of cream cheese, one pound of bacon and a dozen peppers fills 4 tubes of crescents perfectly.
