Re: What's for dinner? *summer edition*

Would love to join in. Guess I should've posted earlier but we had quiche - it had turkey sausage, green peppers, onions, and cheese in it.

i do the layered dip as well, except mine is hummus (spicy usually), avocado, tomato, cheddar cheese, lettuce, black olives, onions, and sometimes black bean puree.

We're not big meat eaters usually, but I've been craving an awesome steak lately. I went to this fantastic butcher shop and grabbed a huge porterhouse. I rubbed it with a roasted garlic rub before grilling it. For sides, we had grilled corn, Parmesan garlic potatoes, and purple cauliflower slaw. I'm so stuffed right now.

Oh gosh. I was going to make broccoli and potato cheesy casserole (I was going to make it up with what is in the fridge), but DH just called me and he is eating a hamburger right now (it is 3:25). Now I think I'll push that to tomorrow and just do leftovers tonight: rice, black beans (I'll add some sausage), sweet potato and chayote hash.
