Lists

I'm starting to make my lists for my hospital bag. Has anyone thought about what they are bringing? Care to share?
With DD, I kind of just tossed a bunch of stuff in a suitcase and I brought way too much!
I'd like to go minimal this time around.

My bag:
*Outfit to go home in
*small makeup bag w/ toiletries & hairbands/wax (I have super short hair) & DH's deodorant and stuff
*socks
*flip flops
*cell phone, charger and camera
*moby wrap
*birthing ball & pump
*Nook
*snacks and water bottle for labor

Baby's bag:
2 outfits (1 warm weather, 1 cold weather)
2 sleep gowns
nail clippers
5 KLOs
4 workhorse
dozen infant prefolds
1 flat
3 covers
1 snappi, 1 set of pins
6 premie prefolds (in case baby is smaller than expected/burp/breast rags/PP cloth)
15 fleece liners
1 large wetbag (to keep in van w/ the "extra" diapers)
1 medium wetbag for diaper bag
carseat will be installed
flannel blanket in carseat

I plan on keeping some KLO, workhorses and prefolds in the van and pack everything else in the diaper bag (10 diapers) and have a small duffle for me...so 2 bags ideally plus the birthing ball.
DH can run dirty diapers to van and get clean diapers if I need them.

Re: Lists

We are having a home delivery, but really you don't need much at all for the hospital.

*Clothes to change into when released
*Two outfits for baby
*Diapers/Wipes/Wetbag (unless you plan on using what is provided by the hospital)
*Charger for cell phone (I bought an extra one last pregnancy to keep in the diaper bag)
*Camera/Batteries (we just used our phones)
*Deoderant/Hair Brush/Shampoo-Conditioner

Im really hoping tomake it full term this pregnancy and so I refuse to pack a bag with the thought that it might jinx me.

But when I do, these will be my items:
--yoga pants and nursing tanks (I don't like to wear the hospital gowns)
--my own underwear and pads (again, personal preference)
--toiletries for myself and hubby
--outfits for baby (amount will depend on when she arrives and how long her stay might be)
--my own pillow
--phone charger
--carseat and base
--blankets for baby when going home

We keep it pretty simple. Our hospital is an hour away but there is a Walmart nearby if we should forget anything.

Re: Lists

I revamped the baby's bag:

6 infant prefolds
6 preemie prefolds
4 KLO
4 workhorses
3 covers
1 flat
snappi and pins
wetbags
fleece liners

Do you think that's better? I shouldn't need any more diapers, right? They don't wet a ton at first.
With DD I had to stay 48 hours after delivery.

Re: Lists

luckily our hospital provides everything for baby to wear while she is in the hospital. We are only taking a warm weather outfit, a cold weather outfit, outfit for her pictures, and 1-2 cute little hats and a bib or 2. Obviously her carseat will also be brought the day I go home.
As far as me, I'm packing too much as I always do. I am having a c-section so I will be in the hospital for 3 full days and be going home on a Saturday. So 4 outfits, my own underwear, socks, slippers, pjs, pads, cell phone/charger, ipod/charger, laptop/charger, dvds, books, camera, hairbrush, hairtyes, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, flip flops, and my own pillow. I know I am forgetting a ton that has already been packed!

Im thinking that I'll pack my own coffee, creamer, and stevia. I cant stand hospital coffee. I saw coffee in tea bags at the grocery store last week.

Oh gosh... I haven't even though of lists or hospital bags yet. I'd like to have mine packed by 37 weeks, so I have just a little over 3 weeks to do it. Your lists will help me pack mine though. :P

This is me! We haven't picked names and I haven't even started to prepare for the birth or get anything we need for baby, so the bag is not on my mind yet! I still have 10 weeks though.
