Any way to make pumping more efficient?

It takes me about 30 min. to pump 4 oz. I don't pump until the milk stops b/c somtimes it is still going but I am done with it and 30 min. is long enough to be attached to the machine. I am fine with this if it's all that can be but would love it if the milk would come faster and I could be done faster. My son takes about 4-4.5 oz. now in his bottles so I try to get that at each session during the work day. I haven't been able to turn the pump all the way up due to ongoing sore nipples (working with an LC on that). I was just wondering if anything else could help this move along more quickly. I go back and forth bewtween compressions and looking at his picture and just ignoring it and browsing on the internet.

I tend to do best if I don't focus on it... And with my pump switch to the regular cycle once milk starts... I also sometimes use some circular massage to make it go faster.

How long have you been pumping? When I first started, it took me about 25-30 minutes. After a few weeks, I was able to get things done in 15 minutes. And now I'm at about 10 minutes.

He's 4 months now and I started pumping day 1 daily for 10 days, then a few times/wk until I went back to work at 3 months. Now it's 4x/day on weekdays.
