new to cloth diapering...HELP!!!!!

We have decided to start using cloth diapers. there is so much info flying around and a lot of the info is contradicting to each other. I am so confused. what type of diaper creams can be used for diaper rashes? we are currently using softbums shells and pods. my daughter has been wetting thru the super pods, and soiling the shells. I am looking for tips or ideas from other mamas who have had to tackle the same issues.

I need help!! I am open to any tips. you can never be too informed!!

thank you in advance

I'm say in general natural oil based creams will wash out. Check out link above more more options.

If you child is soaking the inserts you either need to change more frequently or add more absorbency -- whatever makes more since for you.

Re: new to cloth diapering...HELP!!!!!

You can use regular diaper rash creams if you put a liner , such as a microfleece or disposable liner on top of pod. If you use a fleece liner wash seperately from diapers. Change diapers no more than 2 hoursapart during the day. If you are already doing that, then try another material under the pod(doubler) . My 10 month old wears a one size stay dry with a hemp or bamboo doubler underneath in the wet zone so that when i fold the pod the doubler is in the middle. I have the old styl pods without snaps and I have a boy so my method may not work for you.

How long are you gping between changes?
I try to change every time baby wets/soils and dont wait til the diapers are dripping wet because that causes leaks.
Of course if your out or in the car or its nighttime and you wont be able to chqnge after each pee, then add a doubler.
