getting a good fit on a skinny baby

My son is just skinny and I have a hard time finding diapers with a good fit. Best Bottoms do nicely but daycare wont allow those. Does anyone have experience with pockets that work well for skinny babies? TIA

Will they use best bottoms if you have enough shells to use them like an AIO?

Re: getting a good fit on a skinny baby

My LO is skinny too (just found BB and like them too!). I didn't like any of the OS pockets I had, but loved my size small Charlie bananas on him. And because LO is small/petite, he wore them comfortably til a year old (20 lbs) and could still fit them but the rise is low. Oddly, I don't get a good fit on CB mediums, but its possible the ones I bought have relaxed elastic. My OS dipes fit him much better now after a year.

This!

otherwise why wouldn't they be allowed?

Son's daycare won't reuse cover either and we like AI2 systems. Just need to get more covers.

My ds is skinny too. 14 lbs at 9 months. BumGenius and Blueberries with a bamboo or hemp insert work great for us. We use a bamboozle fitted and a thirsties cover at night. We rarely have a leek.

I have two long and skinny kids (5th percentile for weight). Bum genius 4.0s were our go to diaper stuffed with cotton flats. I also really liked our bottom bumpers, fish noodles(now peachy greens) and simplexes. Always got the best fit with aplix which is why we loved our bg 4.0's
