Re: EC'ing a newborn AND toddler

I am working on infant training my 1 month old and have a 2 year old and a 4 year old that I did the same thing. It is tricky sometimes (especially with only one toilet...) So mine were a bit older than your's will be. My 2 year old is basically trained. We have to help remind her to go, but she mostly holds it....

I've been ECing our 5 month old son since 3 months at the same time as potty training our 2 year old

Vitis-Assume you went "traditional" route with your older one?
mama-Did you EC all 3?

I guess technically yes.

I got her a really cool wooden potty, put it in the living room, took her diapers away sand just got ready for whatever may happen next

Subbing. DS is 20 months and we have been ECing full time since he was 14 months (6 months for poop) . I am due in December and debating whether or not to EC right away. They just go so often! I feel like all I would have time to do is nurse and eliminate

Re: EC'ing a newborn AND toddler

HI, I am potty training my older daughter (2 1/2) and started EC'ing with my young baby (4 mo.). All I can say is that it is not easy!!! I give my infant a paci and sing to him when I put him on the potty to relax him while my toddler is romping (loudly) around the house! My older one I remind her to go and she is still wet at night and poppy's in diaper. It's SO hard to concentrate on pottying both of them at once. My back is sore from Ec'ing my baby (he's a big baby) and I'm taking my daughter every hour... needless to say my life is pretty much centered around the potty!!! (Baby goes every 15 min. to 30 min. except for sleepy times... I catch about 40% I think).
