Lots of protein too! Quinoa is galactagogue and a good source of protein. It can be easy on the stomach too. I survived on it during first trimester sickness. I cook it 1 part quinoa to 2 parts chicken broth in my rice cooker. 1/2 cup quinoa is a good amount as a single serving.

Hope you feel better soon!

I can't stand quinoa. I've had it several times, and I just can't. I think it's more of a texture issue than anything else... but I just can't.

hmmmmm.

kefir? mashed potatoes? :/ no?

lol i suck. i am drinking another HUGE glass of mother's milk tea because i really do think that it helped, and just... relaxing, and nursing baby as much as possible. <3 will pump several times through the night. when he does nurse, he seems content... so i'm past the "freaking out" stage. just... working hard to build supply back. thank you, ladies.

Nurse nurse nurse, women starving in third world countries still make milk without gallons and gallons of water and 1500 calories they do it by nursing constantly wearing their babies. More food and drink won't hurt but getting milk out is the bigger issue

Re: help!!! emergency!!!!

i'm happy to report that baby is getting full/constantly swallowing at feedings, only woke up once lastnight to feed, and i'm not having to pump anymore. i think we just had a dip, i don't think it was as bad as i thought, but it still scared the poo out of me! he is about 6 mo. so it may have been a growth spurt as well, and not a dip at all.
