After 3 kids my faves are still the KLOs they have such a perfect fit. I love that the middle snaps down as well.

Re: Which are the "Tried and True" NB diapers?

I used the imagine newborn all in ones sold by Nicki's diapers. The price was great and I loved them! Great absorbency (my little guy is a a heavy wetter), trim fit, and we only had 1 leak (probably user error). They snap down for the umbilical cord, so you can use them right away. My husband loved them to and they sold him on CDing. They dried quickly and easily on the line too! I also liked the imagine bamboo smartfit prefolds and assunta covers (those covers get very small and are good quality and a really good price, better quality than the imagine covers I have).

I'd like to hear from you and any others who used tiny gs with prefolds what you liked or didn't like about them. I didn't sell them along with all the other g diapers I got rid of because the attached inside pouch makes them SO much easier to deal with. I have 12 left over from DS and since they are so tiny I figured they would be good to use in those first few weeks. When I used them with DS I was rarely able to reuse any of the pouches but didn't really have leaks.

Re: Which are the "Tried and True" NB diapers?

I used Rock-a-Bums on my little girl from day 1 and they fit REALLY well on her which is awesome since it is a onesize diaper and they also fit my 29 lb toddler, too. When she was really little I mostly used the cover and put an infant prefold in it wasnt long before I started using the inserts that come with them

GMD newborn size prefolds, small flats, and adjustable tiny covers since they grow so fast. Thirsties Duo size 1 and Rumparooz.

Next time I want only that plus some tiny pull on covers, I think those would protect the cord stump well and be comfy.

I have big babies and no interest in a complicated newborn stash or getting spendy with it. If I had a small baby though, I might get newborn Sandy's, they seem like they would work best at containing poop. I like 100% cotton though so I'd get the organic cotton ones.

The best for us was the Bummis superbrite and superlite wraps over prefolds. As far as AIOs go, the tots bots tiny fits were great,

I really loved my nb proraps and my nb green earth covers for the newbie stage. The umbillical dip never irritated the stump and we never had leaks. I used them over small flats and preemie/infant prefolds.

Universe2, I got the imagine's with snaps and they were easy, they snapped easily (important for my grandmother who has arthritis) and of course he wasn't very wiggly at that age
