Need a spare seat

I want to get a spare seat for paw paws truck (2013 gmc crew cab) dd is 27 months and rf and will be for at least another year. She's in a graco size 4 me in my truck and a Cosco scenera in dh's truck. I hate the Cosco seat. Can never get a good install an would love to smash it to pieces. Anyway I'd rather not go Cosco or safety 1st since they are hard to install.
I'd rather spend as little as possible but I want to get a good seat that will go to 35-40 rf and at least 65 ff.
any ideas?

Thank you. I didn't know that seat was out. I looked at it today and dd fits in it great. She's on the 4th bottom slot but I read in the manual online that you can use the next one up for rear facing in the USA also. She has years left to grow with it and it feels more sturdy than the scenera. It's $99 at target so it's a good price. Hopefully it will sit on leather seats well. If so ill get one for dh's truck too and replace that blasted scenera!

Re: Need a spare seat

Do you do a seatbelt install with the Scenera? I had a heck of a time with installing it until I used the locking clip, now I like it much better!

Re: Need a spare seat

yes I have the scenera installed with a seatbelt. I've tried the latch and it was useless. it's such a pita to get that seat at the right angle and tightened down enough. dd is also 27 months and is at the second to last strap setting. i'd expect another year for her to be in the seat and not that long rear facing in it.
