Gripe water

Has anyone used this? My son has been struggling a bit with gas, reflux, etc. He's just 2 months now and EBF (I've also given up dairy to see if that helps). The doctors put him on Pepcid which personally I think does nothing so we stopped. He seems to be growing out of it and I think half was just his age more so than really having a reflux issue. Anyways, I've noticed every night around 6:00 he gets very colicky and screams like he's in pain, maybe gas? My SO bought him gripe water and after I give it to him his next feeding he burps a ton and wah lah- no screaming, no crying- happy baby like he is during the day (for the most part). Weird, huh?

I dunno about gripe water, never used it.

But I do know all about the witching hour. Every night at the same time my babies would be suddenly fussy, needy and generally unhappy. I would just swaddle and sway for the duration and we pushed through it.

I hated the witching hour.

It's possible that baby needs to sleep at 5 p.m. 8 weeks old, my kids still took three naps.

Life saver! IMO if it seems to be helping your guy, use it and don't worry about it. All it is are stomach calming herbs. We still use gripe water with our 6 month old when she is acting like her belly herts and she gets allot happier.

I gripe water with my littles..... i was stoked when our local walmart started carrying it even so i didn't have to drive across town to the natural market to get it!

I swear by the stuff so much that i now gift all of my friends a bottle when they have a baby

I use it with my 4 month old for teething actually and it seems to work almost instantly! I swear by it! I use the mothers bliss brand and was able to order a two bottle pack from amazon for a good price. It's a total life saver and sanity saver!

I added a probiotic to a bm bottle and bioron or a similar company makes these homeopathic colic drops. Worked like magic for my DS. Very quick to help him feel better.

(And to myself, I'm a little relieved. Was starting to think I was the only person who has a LO like that. Whew)
