Re: No agreement on names?

I stopped trying and waited until after he was born. Then we picked the name that felt right. He wasn't named until he was 2 days old, and by that time dh didn't have a leg to stand on.

I was going based on sound, popularity, ect. But as time passed we still couldn't agree & I decided to research Enoch. Found out the meaning of the name and I really like it- so even though it took awhile for the name to grow on me, Enoch it is!
Lol I was the same way! I hated the name Sariah and told my husband that he could cross that one off the list of Biblical names he liked.....then toward the end of my pregnancy I decided I really liked the name and that's what we named her.

I think DH feels this way about me. Lol. He keeps throwing out ideas, and I just keep shaking my head. It seems like such an insurmountable task to pick one name... Let alone potential names for a boy and a girl! I keep telling him after we find out the gender, we'll decide - I can't even force myself to think about girls names at this point. I've had a boys name picked out for years- but DH isn't convinced... yet.

Re: No agreement on names?

I'm pretty sure we are going to write down the name we both like and wait until we see him after he's born and name him then.

Re: No agreement on names?

I printed out the Social Security list of 1000 top names and had him cross out all the ones he couldn't live with.

I did the same.

Then we made a list of the ones both of us thought were ok and put it on the fridge. We each then crossed out the names we didn't love over the next few days. It got narrowed down to Abigail for DD1 and Kendall for DD2. DS was between Jacob and Joshua, and we went with Jacob. He goes by Ledger, his middle name, though.
