Re: Have you ever been told the wrong sex during an ultrasound?

My youngest brother was supposed to be a girl. Big surprise getting that phone call!

Re: Have you ever been told the wrong sex during an ultrasound?

I know at least 4 people that were told wrong but all were at u/s's at 14-16 weeks then corrected at a 20ish week u/s.

I don't know anyone in real life that had been told wrong but I heard of it happening to people online. I found out ahead of time with two of mine and I was very confident that the u/s were correct based on what we saw and the angle we saw it from. I guess there are some techs or OBs out there that could mistake what they were seeing but there are times when you can be pretty confident too.

OMGosh!!! How mean!! But hilariously funny at the same time! LOL

After seeing all these responses I asked my OB Friday how often my tech was wrong and he said once in 20 years, and it was fifteen year ago. Feeling better about our girl being a girl, but I will still be holding my breath at delivery!

My MIL was told DH would be a girl. Of course this was 25 years ago. They were pretty shocked when he was born. She likes to tease him that his name was Toni Leanne. I think Bradley Scott suits him much better.

ETA: I will be so so shocked if the baby I'm pregnant with isn't a boy. It was really obvious.

Omg. I'm nervous now. I was told at 12 weeks this baby is a girl. This was based off nub theory and a brief glimpse of the potty shot. I'm scared to hear at the 20 week US that baby is a boy. I wouldn't mind a boy, it's just that I already bought a bunch of girly stuff!
