Same here, I find check ups to much more enjoyable with just the one child. I purposely schedule doc apts on dhs midweek days off

I would leave him home or reschedule. If I don't have to take a sick kid out, I don't. I let them get as much rest as possible.

A cough and runny nose lingers for several days or even a week after the actual illness in our house. My kids feel totally fine when that is all they have. They wouldn't want to cuddle on the couch. I wouldn't either. They feel fine. For a cough and runny nose, we don't skip a beat. Maybe we are different than most.

No fever and a mild left over cough and runny nose, I would not hesitate to bring my child to the doctor's office like that...or really anywhere unless they are going to be in close proximity to other kids. Then, I would let the other parent(s) know and let them decide.

Of course, we all know there are severe coughs and runny noses. I'm really talking about the left over junk after a cold.
I agree with this. ultimately we left him home, mostly because he was in a sour mood.
