Yep remove her from the area you are in. Shes mad because she isnt getting her way. You are sending the message that she is not to interact with you that way.

Yes. This is the start of her trying to express her anger/frustration. We aren't capable of controlling our emotions from birth. We are taught control. Continue doing what you are doing. Her crying is showing you that she's angry that she didn't get her way. You don't have to prevent every bit of anger or sadness in her. Even though she can't understand all your words yet, it's okay to say to her, "no biting. that hurts mommy." She'll get it. She'll stop eventually. Be consistent. Your instincts were spot on. Don't doubt yourself.

Yep! This is the most efficient way I have found to deal with tantrums, even at a very young age. It's just no fun to tantrum without an audience.
