Re: Stash: what you wish you would have bought new

I buy almost everything new.

Even though wool is a much better deal used, I prefer wool that's squishy and not felted. For all PUL covers, pockets, etc. we use hook and loop, and there is a limited lifespan and I want to get full use out of my OS.

I bought our MEOS used, which was a fabulous purchase. Almost all other fitteds I've bought used, however, I later wished I'd spent a few extra dollars to get them new because they had hidden funkiness, or scented detergents that I don't prefer--deep in the fabric layers.

I'd buy prefolds or flats used in a heartbeat because I prefer them quilted and/or soft. Unfortunately, either the sizes and quantities I need at the time aren't available on FSOT, or I'm not a trigger-fast buyer, so it's never worked out.

This is great advice! While I am still very new to fluff…I have found that good newborn fitteds and AIO's resale for practically the price of buying new. So I have bought most of those new.
