Geez, I feel like a butt.
I'll feel fine some days and others I am awful.
And I don't even care about getting stuff done at home. I feel worse because we are still pretty new where we live and I'm not good with friends. While my husband is very church involved and is friends with everyone..... The younger married ladies at church invited me to a little get together and I woke up this morning so sick. In hate feeling like I am blowing them off, but I don't want to be throwing up in her toilet all night....
Welp.
I guess this was really mire of a little pity party vent

I hope you feel better. This is the pits. With my son I never threw up and worked a 50 hour a week job. This time I feel lucky to even get my kid to and from the bus.

Re: does anyone get anything done with morning sickness?

This is my first time as a SAHM too. I worked 40-50 hours a week as a waitress while I was pregnant with my first two. I worked right up until the day they were born. In a lot of ways that was easier I think. You have to work, you have to perform, so mentally you just push through. At home, for me at least, the misery kind of takes over. I caved and started taking my leftover Zofran. I took it with dd1(the whole 40 weeks) and dd2(until about 14 or so weeks). I didn't know about the side effects then, and thankfully we didn't have any. But i'm nervous about it this time. But I can't live in the bathroom. My girls need me, so I really didn't know what else to do.

Zofran just made me feel worse so I stopped taking it. Luckily, my son and husband understand.

I joke to my husband that I wouldn't have been friends with my former pregnant self. Like, I was bubbly, energetic and had zero sickness. It was like I wasn't pregnant up until the last weeks, minus a belly and kicking.

Re: does anyone get anything done with morning sickness?

I have all day, all night sickness for months when I am pregnant and no nothing happens. If I don't have to leave the bed I don't.

My first trimester I am barely functional. Lots of laying on the couch because moving made the sickness worse. We survived on prepared foods, and I cut all obligations that I reasonably could.

I am able to power through my job because I have to, but I get nothing done when in home. I think after fighting it all day at work it just hits me like a Mack truck at night.

I told my DH a few nights ago that we both suffer in the frat part of my pregnancies just in different ways. I can't function and he has to do double the housework.

I'm with ya. I can barely get up to shower or feed my kids, change diapers, etc. It is affecting me more emotionally this time too. I'm very sad about it.
