Teething

My 3.5 month old is getting a tooth on the top . He's been crying non stop today for his waking hours . He's only nursed twice today and it's already 6 pm . How long does this usually last? Poor baby . I feel helpless

Re: Teething

Have you given him tylonal? THat might relieve the pain enough that he'll nurse.

Re: Teething

Yes I ended up giving him baby Tylenol for the first time . He fell right to sleep and I nursed him as soon as he woke up , before he got fussy and started crying again . I just don't wanna have to be giving it to him a few times a day cuz I don't want my kid to get drugged out and get a tummy ache or something lol I wouldn't even take pain killers that often .

My Mood:
Freeze some washcloths for him to chew on.

Re: Teething

I found the best thing for my little girl is tylenol a couple times a day if she is really really bad, they really don't get "dopped" out from it if you give them the correct dosage for their weight. I always try to keep a gel filled teething toy ready or what works great (and cheap) is wetting half of a wash cloth and putting it in the freezer for 10-15 min and then letting them suck on them. If you leave them in there to long they will get hard and stiff, but can leave out a little and they will be fine.
