I'm currently diapering my 7wk old who was born at 7.5lbs and dropped to 7lbs. NB simplex fit from a few hours old and we still have tons of room - at least another month or two. The other diapers that fit great are Grovia AIO (still fit beautifully trim, hold for 2hrs) and NB workhorses (switched to small last week for absorbency) with thirsties duo wraps. If I were expecting a small baby I'd get a dozen of each and call it a day.

I have CB xs which are largely the same as FB xs. They basically didn't fit until almost 10lbs but the absorbency is insufficient so I need to add a doubler every time. Don't recommend.
Oh yeah, I had a few Grovia old style & liked them a lot. They are on the smaller side, fit from 6-6.5lbs. I didn't like wh until they were 7+lbs, as we had leg leaks all.the.time. And the rise was low once they were 7-8lbs, so the fit was just weird. They were fine, but not my favorite by any stretch.

And I agree on the estimates...DD1was estimated at 8.5lbs two weeks before her birth & she was 7lb 12oz. The twins were estimated at 6-6.5lbs each a week before they were born & they were 5.5lbs each.

The new style Grovia are a little bigger, more absorbent and don't wick out the legs.

Gdiapers tiny g newborn covers fit very small babies, and I loved them for my first child! Unfortunately my second was 10 lb when we were able to start using cloth with him, so they didn't fit.

I loved using GMD newborn workhorses with snappis which I got a great fit. I had FB xsmall, it started fitting well when my DS was around 7-8 lbs. he came home at 5lbs 6 oz. I also loved using kissaluv size 0.
