Need to add some daddy friendly diapers.

We need some more daddy/grandma friendly diapers. I like BG free times but I don't like how fast the aplix seems to get curly and not stick well. I would prefer something with aplix as my MIL always seems to put on diapers with snaps super loose and they get all twisted. (Not complaining because I am lucky to have a MIL who will CD and watch DS!)

So what would you buy for a daddy friendly diaper?

I've tried a few options for grandparent diapers. Grovia Velcro were one of the good ones. Their Velcro is nice and soft on babes skin and the snap in inserts have TPU backing which means no one has to worry about touching pee, also you don't need as many covers if people are willing to swap out inserts. The best option for both grandmas has been Softbums Omni in Velcro. I stuff them with flats and have enough for 2 days. These are awesome because the Velcro is sturdy, they are a pocket (so no unstuffing or switching of inserts if people don't want to) and there are no rise snaps. My MIL always pulled up on the front of the diaper and would unsnap rise snaps. I've also found their leg elastic fairly easy to adjust (compared to fuzzibunz which were awful IMO to adjust and get a good fit). Softbums also have a really wide fit range, they can be scaled down for a 5lber (so the company says, I haven't tried them that small and I'm sure they'd be bulky) and they fit really well on my 32lb 2 yr old with room to spare. Also, we've recently had to add in some Omni snap pockets (as my son has figured out Velcro even under clothing). My MIL really liked the single row of snaps on them and found them not so complicated to use as the FLIPS we tried in the early days.

I like the idea of softbums because of the wide elastic. I've never tried them.

This! I also like soft bums for the no rise snaps but any pocket that you have to unstuff isn't super ideal for everyone ya know?

Re: Need to add some daddy friendly diapers.

My husband (who is very reluctant to reach for cloth) likes softbums. For the same reasons others have said- no rise snaps to intimidate or come undone and decent aplix. We have both omni and echo. We also used them for my 2 year old at preschool and they did fine with the echo's so long as they knew that the insert couldn't be sticking out anywhere. That was really the extent of the learning curve with them.

I am going to second on the Grovias. Their aplix is very sturdy. I regrets not trying this brand from the get go. I loooooove their quality.

I loved my grovias but now at 18 months the Velcro doesn't stick and I have cleaned it out and shaved the pilling and still no stick. So they are awesome but the laundry tabs are a pain (I'm the only one who ever tucked them) and the Velcro dies so just be aware.
