Re: Potty training tips please

We did the three day method and spent the first two days naked. I did take use longer than three days but it still worked or us. We also didn't leave the house or 4 days just so we could work on using the potty.

I always ended up going cold turkey with my kids and with our youngest she just decided one day she was done with day time diapers.

I'd introduce him to the potty and let him get used to the idea first.

Also a big high five and super excited expression on your face are awesome as rewards and work wonders.

If possible, go straight into undies rather than using pull ups. Yes, there will be some messes to clean up, but they will be very aware of the messes and (hopefully!) more motivated to stay dry if they can really feel it.

Re: Potty training tips please

Naked time.

If my kids felt anything against their bottoms, whether it be diaper, pull-up, underwear or shorts, they'd pee in it. Going naked was totally new and kinda reset their thought process. I put little floor potties in every room. Once they got it down, I'd reintroduce pants, then underwear with pants. Gotta make it easy on them to go when they need to and you can't get easier than naked. Within a few weeks, they'd switch to the big potty on their own.

Fwiw, my boys were easier than the girls.
