Co-op guidelines?

Hi, in the FAQ it only says that you must meet the requirements to run a co-op. And then you have to join the group. I joined the group and tried to post a new co-op and it sent my thread to the moderators. What's the exact process of approving co-ops and what exactly are the requirements?

So you were approved to host a co op? Honestly, I have NO idea. Another mod, or JO is gonna have to answer this

I applied to join the group, that got okayed and then I went to go start a new co-op and the thread gets sent to someone, Jodi (?) and then I don't know what happens. I'll PM Jodi, I wasn't sure if she did it or the moderators listed KWIM?

After I got approved for the co-op board I went and tried to post and it sent it to the mods for "review" as they need to monitor the co-ops. A little while later it showed up on the board.

I just tried to post a ? about a co-op I was interested in, and it never showed up...I didn't know you had to join the group...sorry...I will look around and find the requirements and such before posting. I was just wondering about a soft shoe co-op.

You can join whatever co-op you want. If you posted it just may take a minute. I know some mamas have to hit the refresh button to see the new posts so you may need to do that to.

If you want to participate and the co-op is still running just post on the thread what you want to order and how you'll pay. Then to be absolutely sure PM that co-op hostess (the person running the co-op) and let her know you want to order and what your order is.

The co-op hostess has the say on what to charge for the co-op fee, what company to use and who gets to participate (that's an option just in case a member has a ton of negative feedback and the hostess is scared to do business with you lol).

Thanks! Jodi explained it to me, I was worried that I was missing the most important step or something.

I think sometimes it puts regular replies in queue as well....not sure why. I have a LOT of things to look into lol

But yes, when it comes to starting threads, they are placed in a queue to be approved. If its a co-op we (mod team) has seen a million times, we'll just approve it. If its something new, we'll probably contact the hosts to get verification from the company that it is ok to co-op with them (we've had some co-ops go bad because of this).

I have been focusing on ITS for a bit, its been so neglected lol Once I get some business taken care of I will be back at DS full force troubleshooting, finishing the FAQs, etc
