Exclamation Leg Lock - anyone else?

The oh-so-fun massive charlie horses have begun - each leg the last two days. Locks up my entire leg from my toes (splayed open!) to my butt cheek. Anyone else dealing with this horrendous pain??

yeah I get them, but I think if you eat more potassium (bananas have this...) they are supposed to go away.

Man I can't wait to pop this child out so I don't have to deal with this anymore!!

I used to be woken up almost every night by those!
I would eat a banana a day and that will stop. I don't like bananas at all- unless they have ice cream and toppings on them!

Re: Leg Lock - anyone else?

It can also be from magnesium or calcium deficiency, not just potassium. Also, it can just be your body's response, I didn't have but 1 leg cramp w/ my 1st pregnancy (twins) but with my 2nd pregnancy I had more and my 3rd pregnancy it was HORRIBLE! I mean, really bad! But my 4th pregnancy it wasn't bad at all, more like my 2nd pregnancy.

Also check your sleeping arraingments. My 3rd pregnancy I had the WORST mattress in the world!! Dh's old ones from his 1st apt that were given to him from someone else! The rest of the pregnancies I had newer (if not brand spanking new!) ones! I think it made a huge difference. Also, be aware of your stretching in the AM. I would stand up and then stretch my feet, if I stretched them while laying down I would cramp up!

Yeah only its only in my hips though. Not throughout my whole leg although sometimes my feet do. At night I will wake up to the horrible pain
