Hi Everyone!

I wanted to know if anyone had severe headaches when they were pregnant and if they went to the dr and what they were from?

I am 19 weeks and 1 day and for the last 2 weeks I have had headaches like no other! They are so bad they make me sick and I can not due much. They come like every 4-5 hours and the only thing I can do it take Tylenol and I hate to do that!!! But that is the only thing to get them to go away my blood pressure is normal 160 over 20. Nothing else seems to be wrong! Any suggestions? Thank you

do you wear glasses? i've been getting RIDICULOUS head aches, and found out it was because of the changes in my eye sight. doctor told me the only way to "fix" it was to get a new prescription.... but then i'd just have to change back again after the baby's born!

huh, I didn't even think about that. I do wear glasses with my other 2 pregnancies i never got this. Plus i go to the eye dr every year and i have yet to get a new perscription my eyes never change. I will check into that thank you

Still looking for other reasons too!

You could be super acidic. Try drinking fresh lemon water to help balance out your system. You could be dehyrdrated too. But I have found lemon to be a wonderful natural remedy for headaches.

I had problems for maybe six weeks or so. It's a fairly common pregnancy ailment and most of the time they'll go away after some time.

I asked around here and got some good advice. The best remedy for me was to drink a bottle of Gatorade for fluids and stuff and then use an icepack or a Wellpatch on the back of my neck and rest for a while. It definitely helped, though it didn't ever take them completely away. Just try to stay hydrated and take it easy when you can.

are you drinking enough water ? i am still BF my 18 month old and 17 weeks pregnant .. I am getting headaches cause i am not consuming enough water

so i am trying to consume more

I am just wondering if you ever went to the doctor to find out why you were having so many headaches? Did you figure out why? Are you still having them?

I had them and I had Insulin Dependant Gestational Diabetes and PreEclampsia. I was about 12 weeks along when GD started.

Just talked with a momma tonight who was having back pain and bad headaches. She went to the Chiropractor and he said her neck and shoulders were so tense it was putting pressure on her head. Immediately after the first adjustment she felt 100% better. She was told to go back 2 more times and she should be realigned and loosened up.

My Chiro charges $25 per visit, that would be $75! Highly worth it if you have the $$.

Make sure they check for preclampsia. That's what caused mine. Just a suggestion though. I hope you feel better soon.
