Can you lay wool outside to dry?

I was gonna lay my wool soakers outside on my kids little tyke picnic table like i do regular dipes and wondered if its okay to dry wool like that? I thought i remember reading somewhere Not to do that....

yes you can lay them outside to dry, just not in direct sunlight. shade is fine, but direct sunlight can fade the wool.

one of them is a buff white color so i guess the sun won't hurt it? the other is a deep cranberry so maybe i better keep that one of the sun....

I hang my undyed ones in direct sunlight. Sheep hang out in the sun don't they?
