I Love Them SOOO Much!

I'm not really sure what's up with me right now, but I'm sitting here crying just thinking about how much I love my babies! I use to do this when Hailyn was a newborn. I would just sit and bawl b/c I loved her so much that I was just overwhelmed. PPD? I don't know! Ashton is already 3 months old, and Hailyn is 2.5 y/o. She's getting so big, and has such a personality that makes her seem older. I love when she sleeps because she still looks like a baby!
I think all the talk about the Ramsey case, and today my friend and I were discussing babies being abducted from Laredo, Tx. I told my dh is anything ever happened to either of them I would have to be commited b/c the "not knowing" factor would probably make me literally insane! I can't even think about it!
It's just so overwhelming how much a mother can love her children, like it's completely consumed me. One minute your just a self involved young person, out having fun, and the next your a mother who would take on the whole world to protect her children. I love it, but it's also terrifying.
Have any of you heard the Heartland song "I Loved Her First". I heard it today. Might be another reason for my "emotionalness" tonight. I shoudl just go to bed! Geez, I'm such a sissy!

Thanks for listening!

Re: I Love Them SOOO Much!

Oh, don't laugh at yourself mama. You know how good it is to read someone saying that? I've done the same thing. Usually it's when the boys are sleeping and I go in to check on them. I've come into the bedroom many a time (after checking on them) and my husband sees that I've been crying. I'm sure he's thought I"m crazy a time or two. I did it a LOT when Dominic was firstborn too, but I still do sometimes and he's 10 mos. It's either, "Oh, I just love them so much" or "I never want them to grow up" or "They are just SO sweet." It's GOOD to feel that way. If you're crazy, I'm crazy. Sometimes I just cry because I don't want them to have to grow up in such a yucky, crazy world. I wish I could just protect them and be there for them always. Anyhow, thanks for your honesty.

Janine

I have these moments every day, but especially lately with the baby. I'll be watching him play or holding him and my heart just SWELLS with the love. It's those moments that you just want to freeze 'cause they are so perfect.

It's a sign that you're a great mama

I have these moments too! I just love my girls so much I feel like I am going to burst sometimes.

There are times when I lay in bed next to Celeste while she sleeps and just cry.... for all the love I feel, for all the hardships she has had, for the wonderful incredible person she is and for the fact that I am part of her world.

Sometimes, when Amira looks at me and gives me that smile no one else gets, I feel like shouting to the world that this is my baby, MINE! Of all the people who could have been her mommy, it was me. I got to adopt this perfect little baby girl and we all get to live happily ever after.

Not a day goes by that I dont realize how lucky I am and how wonderful my family is. I see my girls sitting together and enjoying eachothers company and I get so happy tears stream down my face.

I know I am a big sap, but I catn help but feel its a good thing

Your not alone mama!

Re: I Love Them SOOO Much!

Before I had my daughter I used to listen to people say, "you'll never understand a mother's love until you have children." and now I know they were right! I cry pretty frequently thinking about how much I love her, and how Icouldn't bear it if anything happened to her, or how sad I would be if something happened to me and I couldn't see her grow up. I try not to focus on those negative things, but it's hard when you watch the news.... I'm right there with you! I heard a song on the radio the other day about a little girl waiting for her daddy and made my husband shut it off bc I was bawlilng. That said, I am 38 weeks pg, but I don't think it matters too much. God gave us mamas a special kind of love--it is good to know that others have it, too, and to be thankful for it. Aw, now I am bawling again!!

My mom use to tell me things like that. When I was mad at her as a teen for not letting me go out to parties and other stuff. She said I would never uderstand what it's like having to be the bad guy and why she did it. I love my mom so much (here come the tears) Since I've moved awaym we've spoken everyday on the phone, seriously! She's my best friend!

Ah now I have tears in my eyes. My mother used to tell me the same thing when I was little. She passed away when I was just a little girl. I have a daughter of my own now (already 7) and look at her a marvel at how far she's come. Being a Mom has been my greatest gift in my life. It was not an easy road for us having either of our children, so yes, I frequently cry and feel so very blessed and thankful that I have them in my life. It truely is a gift!
