How long does it last? He has HFM weeks ago.

It took us 3 weeks to get it totally out of the house, and each kid about 10 days.

Wow. Didn't realize it could be that long. Did she have mouth sores from the beginning? He had some not long after HFM broke out in the preschool.

Hope the baby doesn't get it... he's been fine all these weeks except a little fever this weekend but that's it & he's teething.

She ran fever about 2 days before the sores hit, and the sores took all 3 weeks to really heal completly, but all were popped by day 10. All the bigger kids got it too, but not nearly as bad. All ran fevers of about 101-103 2-3 days before complaining of sore throats and/or headaches, and within a day of that we had sores.
The baby managed to avoid it, but I think only because we are nursing still.

Maybe that's why the baby hasn't got it I'd love to avoid it w/him!

If you are nursing, I would think he may just want to nurse more. Be available, cause those antibodies will be a life saver for you, keeping him from suffering so badly. I think I'd be bald if Sarah had gotten it too. LOL
