My Mood:
patterns or "how-tos" for using old sweaters to make shorties/longies?

I have recently asked on here about shorties and longies. I'm new to CD and use pocket diapers currently. My Mom is retired, and a very skilled seamstress and knitter and is always looking for projects. She hates that there's not alot of clothing styles she can sew for Ethan (boy) but I mentioned the wool longies and shorties and she asked for links, sites, patterns, etc. She would be interested in custom making them for me. That would save me alot of$$$ and give her something to do for her grandson that would be beneficial to him Anyway, anything you can offer me would help. I'm going to send her some links to sites that sell them but any ideas you can give me would be great.
TIA!

Check under the craft chat forum. There are links to patterns. Can you make some for me too? I am going to learn to knit, but in the meantime.

http://www.kidcentrix.com/brandon/sweaterpants.html
http://www.cafepress.com/thatskindacool/864331

And there are tons of knitting patterns
www.tinybirdsorganics.com has a freebie, so does http://zaposa.com/knit.php?c=Lea_Longie.txt

www.littleturtleknits.com, http://woolywonder.com/ have some good ones that you can purchase.

GL!

thanks! I'll check those out.

Bellsmom - I keep trying to get my MOm to sell her stuff - she makes beautiful pillowcase dresses, baby skirts, etc. Maybe she'll start her own WAHRM (work at home retired Mom) business
