hi, strawberry birth marks anyone?

oh, and I did find something else that said that port wine stains usually occur on the face, neck and scalp. its possible for them to be on extremeties or the torso, but unlikely. yours is probably a strawberry.

I had a strawberry on my tummy when I was a baby. When I was in my early teens, it started fading and now it's just a few red pinprick-sized spots.

I always liked my strawberry as a kid, because it was actually shaped like a strawberry.

Oh the other thing is, I have seen where port wine stains have covered 50% of a child's body It's sad.

My son Seth had one on his back. At birth it was not there, and a few weeks later there was a reddish spot. I thought maybe one of the other kids had bumped him, but it got redder and redder, got about an 1 1/2 in long and then got puffy and bumpy. It did go away on it's own a few years later.

wow thanks for all the input. I guess I will have to not worry and trust hers will fade. It sounds like she has a true strawberry. Hope in a few years it is gone and hope until then I can get used to it. LOL I guess iam just a bit of a worry momma. LOL thankyou all for being so kind.
