Can I take anything for seasonal allergies?

Please! I can't take my allergies any longer. Is there anything I can take while nursing?

My allergist told me allegra and claritin were okay during pregnancy, so I don't see why they shouldn't be while nursing. Prednisone is a no-no though.

Claritin and Benadryl are both fine. I took Claritin while nursing almost every day for several weeks because of a rash I was getting.

Claritin, allegra and zyrtec are all ok while BF. Be careful with the benadryl as it can sometimes have an effect on your milk supply.

Also, if you want something more natural, eat a little bit of local honey everyday. If it's from local bees then it'll help your body build immunities to the local pollens.

I find using Flonase and Opticrom eye drops more effective than taking Claritin.

I eat local honey with my oatmeal everyday and drink it with my mothers milk tea. It helps a little bit with my allergies. My MW said it is fine to take Allegra, Zyrtec or Claritin as well. I don't do Benydryl because I noticed my supply decreased when taking it, plus it makes me drowsy.
