Uhmm.."co-showering"...i guess it would be called...talk to me!!

we take baths with our kids everyday. I take a bath with them every night and dh takes baths with them on the weekends. When we went on vacation we had a huge bath tub there and all 4 took baths the every time. My son knows all body parts and understands that boys have a penis and girls have a vagina and grown up girls have boobs and everyone has nipples. None of us are uncomfortable with it. I'm sure dh will get uncomfortable taking a bath with dd much sooner than with ds. When any one of us becomes uncomfortable with it, we will stop.

I shower or take a bath with my 15mo old. I love to do it and he does too. We play and sing and splash water and there's no weirdness about it. He has checked out the hair on the nether regions a time or two and I just tell him that's mommy's and he stops and didn't do it again after I told him that twice. He, of course, notices his nursies but he always notices those

my DD is just a year old now and loves water so much. having her in there with me is the only time I'd ever be able to get clean without calling my mom to come watch her. I'm a single mom though, so it's hard to get time to myself ever!

I think it's perfectly fine! We'd shower with my DD if she liked showers! She HATES them!

My kids HATE the shower so we just bath all 3 at the same time. It saves time, energy and water!!! At one point our 4.5yr old noticed his sister didn't have a "winkie" but he is past that and dd (3) could care less that the boys are differant than her!!!

our ds is 2 1/2 and showers with the both of us, usually on the weekends and he showers with daddy during the week. i think when the parent becomes unconfortable is when you should stop. our ds hasnt asked about body parts yet. he knows that he and his daddy have penis' but thats as far as it has gotten.

I find it interesting that the posts have all been pro-showering together. That is where I fall too. DS is 4 today and showers with me about once a week and occassionally with DH (He usually showers before DS is awake). He knows he has a penis and I don't and doesn't seem to make a big deal out of it. Personally, I think it is good for chidlren to be able to feel comfortable with themselves and not dirty or anything. I am sure he is getting closer to the time when he won't want to jump in with me. He already is doing it less as part of his independent streak that is taking over where he wants to do everything by himself. I also know he has enjoyed watching his sister (aka my belly) grow bigger

I co-bathed with DD until she was maybe 18mths and then she started taking baths by herself. I think once the LO is old enough to point out body parts and poke...and take notice, its time to switch to solo-showering. LOL
