Zucchini/Squash mixed in the garden
Okay, so we rented a place when we first got here (from another American) anyway, things ended up happening that we decided to move, but she planted some zucchini and some yellow squash and said that even though we moved we could still harvest it (she returned to the states and wasn't using it).
We went out there today to get the veggies and tonight when I got home and cut open what should have been a zucchini and it was yellow like the squash. So apparently they cross-bred in the garden. I was planning on using the zucchini for zucchini bread, but it doesn't look like I can now. What do I do???? I don't have any idea how to cook squash, we've never really eaten it before. Also, they are REALLY big. About as long as my arm, I know that's not the best for flavor and all that....hence the reason for planning on making zucchini bread.

Re: Zucchini/Squash mixed in the garden
that's pretty funny. I say fry them up with some seasoning, and make muffins.
