Scared the crap out of me (choking)

She is almost 2 1/2 and eats very poorly. She has no idea how to use utensils (I am showing her) and shoves as much as she can in and then refuses to chew and swallow. Apparently her older sis was this way. I've never had her choke this bad before despite the shoveling in and saving technique. Her mom just showed up and J has a bit of a sore throat so I gave her some grape juice and promised no more bananas until she's ready. I told her mom that maybe she should look into CPR just in case, hopefully she will. She seem sokay now, no longer shaken up. I am also working with her to take smaller bites nad to use a cup with out a lid. It's amazing that at 2 1/2 utnesils and "real" cups are foreign objects. I asked the parents to please do their part ont he weekends but was told it's too messy

I can't even begin to understand how you felt . If it were me taking care of her and she didn't know how to eat Id start puree her food just so you know she can't choke
