If I'm not mistaken...it goes on baby's neck...but they aren't to acually put in their mouths...it's the amber that helps soothe them. I could be wrong but thats what I gathered when reading the co-op abou tthem.

I gave my kids tylenol and the teething rings you put in the fridge or a semi frozen peach in one of those 'self feeder' things.

3-4 months he started drooling/chewing etc, but did not get his 1st tooth (2 teeth) untl 10 months

TEETHING TABLETS!! THEY ARE A GOD-SEND! Ds started with teething/mouth pain at 3m 2d and I didn't believe anyone that it could be his teeth. Two weeks later after my happy up until those two weeks was STILL owley I got some b/c I didn't want to give my 3m Tylenol "just in case" we got some and OH MY GOSH!!! He was back to himself in 30seconds I"M NOT EXAGGERATING!

And NO NEED TO DISSOLVE! Just wash your hands and dry them well. Hold a tablet under their tongue and it will dissolve almost instantly. Do it to yourself first so that you can see how fast it melts. THE REASON NOT TO DISSOLVE is that the area under the tongue has blood vessels SO close to the surface it will go straight in and help them faster if you hold the tablet there (that's why heart patients put their Nitro tablet there.)

Oh, and ds' first tooth popped through a few days after he hit 4m

I would let my children chew on toys that had been in the freezer. I think that the cold really helps it feel better.

I'm glad I read this thread because I had been wondering WTH to do with the teething tablets I bought. It says on the label it makes a paste when you mix them with water, but when I dissolved them it was still liquidy! I'll have to try putting the tablets under his tongue tomorrow to see if it helps!!

DS started teething at 2 months but didn't sprout the first tooth until he was 7 months old. He's almost 10 months and has 2 teeth only

ds2 started teething around 2 1/2m, he will be 3 months in a week. md dd did the same thing and cut her first tooth at 7 months.

ds2 was like this the other day, he was miserable and in less than 5 ins of me giving him the tabs he was sleeping. poor guy!
