Need yummy non-dairy smoothie receipes...
I want to make some of these for my family; but I can't have dairy and I am attempting to cut it out for my son as well (wish me luck here!).

Re: Need yummy non-dairy smoothie receipes...
bunch of fruit (including a banana) and 1/4-1/2 brick of silken tofu.....blend away
you could also use soy milk or soy yogurt with fruit

Re: Need yummy non-dairy smoothie receipes...
DD is also allergic to soy (dairy and soy, she's killing me over here!). But I think I might try it with almond milk.
Anyone else? |

Re: Need yummy non-dairy smoothie receipes...
We do smoothies without any dairy or tofu. We just add fruit, Juice, and ice. The banana will add a better consistancy to the smoothie. If you use water instead of juice...you will need to add some sugar or splenda to it.
Our favorite is Cran/Raspberry Juice with Frozen Raspberries and Blackberries. |

Re: Need yummy non-dairy smoothie receipes...
I have been off of both dairy and soy for several months for my DD as well so I totally understand!! It isn't so bad once you adjust - I have come up with lots of recipes that are really good so I don't feel too deprived anymore
PM me if you ever need support ![]() I'm drinking a smoothie right now that I made to have with breakfast. 1 banana about 6-8 strawberries frozen mango chucks (trader joe's has these if you are near one!) a bit of almond milk to thin it YUM!!! Sometimes I add a little bee pollen, too but today I forgot (some people are allergic so if these are for the whole family I'd probably skip this). Spirulina is great for you too but it does make the whole thing green!
