Hep A vax?
Anyone here let their children get this vax? I know it's something new but I can't find when it's given? Could someone tell me the age their child got this, and if they had any side effects from this vax? Since it's new I'm trying to debate if dd needs this vax or not and she's getting some shots this week..
Thanks!

Re: Hep A vax?
Danny got his first hep a a few weeks ago, some dr's give it at 2 years old and some do it at 4 right before preschool.
he had no side effects, the one that does do that is the pnemochocal and MMR, they mainly just leave a bump that swells and looks kinda like a patch or reddend skin. it goes away after a few days, although my son was hurting to walk and put weight on his leg form the pnemochocal. you can refuse ANY shots and also tellthe dr only 2 shots at a time and reschedule and go another day too. give the baby tylenol 30 minutes before the appointment and watch for fever
