Replacement for butter?
Ok, last question I swear.
I know you can replace oils in recipes with baby food or applesauce to make it better for you. Is there any replacement for butter?

Re: Replacement for butter?
I don't think so. the only other thing would be an oil or crisco or something
is it the fat in butter you want to avoid??? you could try a margarine made from a canola oil? I use butter instead of margarine, it is fatty but doesn't have the hydrogenated oils in it.

Re: Replacement for butter?
Just wanted to note that some recipes require the hardness of butter versus oil or margarine. My roommie tried subbing margerine for butter in a cheesecake and it did not work well.
