Butter advice..

Okay, so I made glazed pecans early last week. They are put in the oven on a cookie sheet of melted butter. How long do you think they would be good, left in cookie tins, seeing as though they were cooked in all that butter? My IL's always left butter on the counter (not sure for how long), but we always refrigerated it, so I haven't the first clue on butter "shelf-life".

TIA mamas!

We leave butter on the counter too. We tend to go through a stick a week (sometimes less) though....so.....I dont know how long it will be good?

Re: Butter advice..

Especially since they were cooked, I wouldn't worry about them going bad anytime soon. They'll probably get "stale" sooner than they'd go bad. You could always refrigerate them to make sure they stay fresh...

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about them going bad. They would be just as likely to go rancid from the oils in the nuts as going rancid from the butter. We have a butter bell, so our butter sits out on the counter and we have yet to have butter go bad...
