How to change title in thread

I am wondering how to change a title of one of our posts. I just sold my sling and I was trying to edit the title so that when you go into the baby sling forum you can see that mine is sold. It didn't work. It did change the title when you click on the link for my sling but not in the main forum?

When you first click edit, it just does a quick edit. Once you are at that screen, you can "go advanced". I will see if I can bypass this somehow becuase it doesn't seem necessary.

I tried that and had to give a reason for the edit and changed everything to sold but it still dosnt say sold in the main part of the baby carriers form. You can't see that it is sold untill you click on my link.

I don't want to remove my whole post, so that way the buyer can still go back and see the post.
