Re: stinky FB help!
have you tried just putting them through a few hot washes w/out soap to see if you can get any soap out of the fleece? I would do the same w/ the inserts. No soap, just hot water through a few complete washes.

Re: stinky FB help!
ok its definatly the inserts the actual FB have no smell to them. So how do i prevent this from happening again? i need to boil them and then do bleach? The bleach itself doesnt get rid of it?

Re: stinky FB help!
I would not use much bleach, it can damage the fleece. Here is another idea I saw on diaper hyena: http://www.thediaperhyena.com
Baking Soda: It doesn't take much - only about 1/2 cup per load. However, Baking Soda is priceless for whitening and neutralizing acidity levels in your diapers. It is a natural odor and stain fighter and will help keep your diapers nice, white, and fresh smelling. Might be worth a try Rachel

Re: stinky FB help!
NO bleach on the dipes...I said on the white mf inserts.
I put like a tablespoon to a medium load. I let them soak for 30 min and then ran the normal hot/cold wash with two rinses afterwards. YES, boil them first follow the directions above (empty water after each pot of inserts) and then do the bleach if there is a slight smell. I don't think that using that little of bleach will help the problem by iteself so that's why I say to do both. If you boil them and they don't stink afterwards then don't do the bleach. If they do and you've boiled them all 4 times each or more then go ahead to bleah them. Honestly, I used the bleach cuz I was sick of standing at the stove over hot steaming water all day! ![]() I tried the following to get the stink out: Switching from Era to Sun. Washing on hot hot hot w/ boiling water added to the load6 x's w/ no soap. Using baking soda. Using sportwash. Using Dawn. None of them worked. Only boiling did. PM or email me if you need more help, I'll be glad to help ya out!

Re: stinky FB help!
I have CB mf inserts and have stink issues as well.
I thought that boiling diapers/inserts with snaps was a no-no. What I find helps is Calgon water softener during the cold soak with JUST the inserts - no dipes. Then rinse and spin the inserts followed by hot wash with extra rinse |
