Diaper Covers Confusion

Ok....I am seriously confused! Whenever I looked at and ordered a package deal (i.e. two diaper covers and 12 prefold diapers) I would end up with a lot of prefolds but not enough diaper covers and find myself doing laundry everyday so I can have clean diaper covers. Why so few covers for so much diapers? How did the mothers do it? Did they rinse the covers and use it a few times before they launder them?

What's a girl to do??

You can reuse the covers as long as they are just peed in a few times, air dry one out while you use the other. If it gets soiled you can handwash and then airdry it.
You will need more than covers to cd.

I only have three covers for my prefolds right now. When one gets too dirty to just hang and dry, I throw it in with any laundry and then air dry it or if I need it quickly, throw it in the dryer by itself for about 20 minutes. Usually does the trick. Best of luck.
